Joey is now a tenured professor!

Congratulations Joey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Joey is now officially a tenured professor of Brigham Young University.  It was such a relief for us to hear this news.     He is so amazing and all his hard work has payed off. 

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day up in Heber with my parents.   The kids placed flowers around Grandma and Grandpa Todd's graves.  We all thought of nice memories we have had with the Todd's. It was really neat.   Grandpa Grossnickle brought his motorcycle with him.  Jeffrey loves to ride the motorcycle with Grandpa.  

Family Fun Run

         Springville has it's Art City Day's this week, so we decided to do the fun run.  All 8 of us participated!  It got kind of tricky when Jeffrey fell and scraped his knees.  A nice man pushed him in his jogging stroller, so I as able to finish the race.    Joseph, Ben and Kaylana  really enjoyed it.    Joey finished with a great time, but ended up with a huge blister.  Everyone definately wants to do it again next year. 

Jeffrey loves chess!

Jeffrey is in the orange shirt in the  back.   He competed in a chess tournament last week.  He won first place! He was very excited to get such a tall trophy.  Joey looked at his rank for the state.  He ranked 2nd place for his grade.   He will go to the state chess tournament next month. 

We have Chickens!

 Our Chickens started laying eggs in December.   The kids were amazed to find Green Eggs! We usually get 2 green eggs a day and 4 brown.  I love eating organic nutritional eggs.  It is like easter every day.   The kids love to go out and find them.

This is the chicken coop.   My friend Kristie and I build it in the summer.  All by ourselves I might add.  I was very proud of myself.

These are what our chickens looked like when they were chicks.  Now they are very fat.  

Kaylana is on a Basketball Team

It so fun to watch Kaylana play basketball.  She has a smile on her face the whole time.   She was even willing to wear  Ben's old  basketball shoes.  She is a very fast runner.  Unfortunately she inherited some clumsy genes from me.  She was the cause of a 5 girl pile up when she tripped on the ball.   I couldn't help but laugh!    Basketball is not my best sport either.   I am so glad she is sticking with it and enjoying it!

Our Trip to Sandiego

We enjoyed visiting the museums in Balboa Park

It was fun to see the seals up close.  It was overcast at the beach.  Kind of cold.

We explored a cool cave.  When you looked out you could see the" face of Jim."

We met up with Joey's bestfriend  Brandon Dean.  It was fun to have dinner together and catch up. 

We found some neat trails.  It was fun to hike together.  Without kids!  I was very fascinated by the birds and plants.  The lighting turned out perfect for this picture.
